When held up to the light, it shows a small amount of translucent stripes, but not much. Obsidian is volcanic glass and will chip like glass if the edge is too thin. The concoidal fracture of obsidian makes it ideal for knapping. It takes a very shiny finish and will make some very nice cabochons. Flaws: It has no flaws that I can see. Price: $9.25 USD
